2020 Donkey Bikes

The latest addition to our Donkey herd is here!

As with every redesign of our bicycles, our goal was to make an even better bicycle that serves the needs of the cities we operate in. Our team used the challenges faced by both users and our fleet maintenance team to develop smarter components for the 2020 model.

We worked together with an award-winning designer to produce a more integrated and sturdy frame that can be more efficiently maintained. Here are some of our highlights:

1. Dynamo-powered headlights that are built into the frame to provide greater visibility and safety of users
2. All cables and wiring will now be housed inside the handlebars and frame to reduce damage and extend the street lifespan of bikes
3. The popular mobile-phone holder is now integrated into the frame to hold devices securely in place
4. A specially designed basket has been attached to the front to take the load off your shoulders

There was also a conscious effort made to streamline the components so that they can be used in both our pedal bikes and e-bikes. This helps us be a little bit more sustainable with reducing the waste produced.

The first batch of these have hit the streets of our home-base in Copenhagen and will later be rolled out to our network.
